The United States Soccer Federation granted approval for a friendly match between Spain and Haiti to be played at SunLife Stadium outside Miami on June 8th, this according to Steven Goff of the Washington Post.
Rumors have been swirling for several weeks that Spain would be making a trip stateside this summer to play in a series of friendlies. Guatemala was originally rumored to be Spain's opponent for the match which was to take place on June 11th at Lockhart Stadium, but apparently USSF thought Spain could draw enough fans to make SunLife Stadium a better fit three days earlier.
The match is the second confirmed for Spain's tour this summer, the first being a friendly on June 6th against Northern Ireland at Red Bull Arena outside New York City. Expectations are that Spain will schedule at least one more match as part of their trip stateside.
