The "Wet Dream" Goal

If you're like me you probably have a pretty extensive sports package through your cable or satilite provider, just to ensure you get Fox Soccer and Fox Soccer Plus. Depending on your provider you likely also receive another major soccer channel, GolTV, which you may have passed over thinking it was only foreign language games. If you passed over this channel again over the weekend you missed out on one of the funniest goal calls ever in the history of the sport.

Ray Hudson, former player for Newcastle and several other teams, was providing helpful game insights as he normally does. The play in question was in the Madrid Classico over the weekend between Athletico Madrid and Real Madrid. With the score still tied at 0-0 in the 25th minute, Real was awarded a free kick from about 36 yards out, and Christiano Ronaldo stepped up to take it. The video pretty much explains the rest; the shot goes in and Ray loses it! Here is the link on YouTube if you can't get the video on our site to work.

While Ray has a long history of being colorful on the mic, I don't think producers thought he could work in "wet dreams", "orgasmic", and "Jessica Rabbit on steroids" into a single 20-second goal call. I honestly hope the guys at GolTV have a "phrase that pays" pool going where they bet on whether or not Ray can work certain words into the broadcast.

You can almost hear Ray having to change his pants at the end of the clip. Keep it up buddy... the play calling, not something else.
